The scope of work involved the demolition of the existing airport terminal facility and the design and construction of a new airport terminal. The Owner wished to design a facility that would be a “Gateway” to the community. The goal of the project was to keep the existing flight tower and renovate the tower to be integral with the new facility. The airport terminal contains the passenger terminal and offices for the FAA. Due to differing security needs, the two areas needed to be separated from one another.
