The project is a 34 bed facility for male and female juveniles. Load bearing, grout-filled CMU wall construction was placed against precast cells. The project included the following: visitation area, office/staff area, dayrooms, exercise room, outdoor recreational yards, electronic security access control room, and video surveillance around the perimeter of the building including all inmate areas.
All security doors are monitored and controlled from the master control room. An outdoor sallyport, with perimeter security fence controlled through the security access control system, was provided. Natural lighting was provided in all detention rooms through skylights and exterior windows.
