The San Juan County District Attorney’s Building is a 25,000 sf, two-story facility located in downtown Farmington. While it houses the San Juan District Attorney and staff, it also includes space for several supporting programs that have separate entrances. Due to a limited site area and the growing San Juan County population, future expansion opportunities were a critical design component. The roof was designed as a floor slab, so that future building expansion can be built directly on top of the existing space. Additional design elements in the facility include extensive security cameras, card readers, the separation of public and employees and a flexible break/training room.

Because the project bid significantly below the estimate, the owner chose to add to the project scope. Additions included A/V, security, site upgrades, glazing upgrades, floor plan adjustments, and exterior decks.
